Great food and drinks at great prices

Settled in the early 1800s predominately by German immigrants, Lebanon, IL is a town rich in history. In fact, many of the buildings in the downtown historic district, including the building in which The Gasthaus is located, were built prior to the American Civil War.

Originally built as a hotel, the building now houses a full service restaurant, bar, and banquet room. Wanting to pay homage to the history of the city of Lebanon as well as the building, there was no name more fitting than The Gasthaus β€” the name for an inn with a bar, restaurant, and banquet facilities found throughout Germany.

Today, The Gasthaus crafts exceptional bar-fare and the occasional traditional German dish while providing an environment that will make you feel at home! Come and spend a day with us and enjoy a meal and drinks in our spacious dining room and patio, catch a game on one of our many TVs, and enjoy our complimentary cornhole, giant Jenga, and other various board games!

Whether it’s celebrating an engagement or graduation, a simple get together between friends, an office party, or wasting a day on our patio, The Gasthaus has something for everyone.
